Dr. Yao Liu has practiced in DFW area since 2011. Her extensive dental education has taken her coast to coast before opening her own practice Aurora Dentistry in McKinney, Texas. Dr. Liu attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. She later received her doctorate degree and AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) certificate from the State University of New York at Buffalo’s School of Dental Medicine, where Dr. Liu was honored with scholarship for outstanding clinical achievement, recognized with commendations for excellent academic performance and also practiced as a part-time assistant instructor in indirect restoration course. To further sharpen her knowledge in general dentistry, she also completed an externship in the postgraduate periodontics program at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Liu is passionate about improving patient’s oral health, creating beautiful smiles and providing comfortable dental visits for patients. Her goal is to use best of her ability to assist patients with their dental needs. To acquire the latest and greatest technologies and techniques, Dr. Liu is very active in continuing education. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Dallas County Dental Society, and Alpha Omega (the oldest international dental fraternity). She is also actively involved in outreach and community service.
Dr. Liu enjoys working with every patient and loves getting to know them. She’s treated patients as young as less than a year old to more than ninety years old. Understanding and communicating with patients, for her, is the key to delivering great dental care.
